Through the door: what it feels like to get a cofounder from ROVA
The same pipeline the moves-page showed from the inside, walked from the other side of the screen — a stranger arriving with an idea they can't put down. Each step names what they see, what carries them to the next, and the state they should be in when they leave it.

Finding the door
live today
You've been carrying an idea — a business, a career change, a thing you can't stop thinking about at 2am. Searching, or wandering rova.institute, you find Start with CLARITY: one real conversation, then one clear next move. No account. No email. Nothing to sign up for. You click, and someone is already speaking to you.
curious, and not asked to pay a toll to stay that way
Behind the curtain: the page became search-discoverable on 21 July (it had been hidden for a month on a stale gate). The Co-Founder for Hire page currently offers only an email link — routing it into this conversation is the plan's Phase 2, and it opens only after the far end is verified.
II
The conversation
live today
CLARITY doesn't ask for a pitch. She asks about you first — and then leads, stage by stage, until the thing you're building is on the table in its real shape. It can take twenty minutes or an afternoon. She will probe what can't bend before she lets you plan around it, and if she thinks you're not ready — or the idea isn't — she says so.
rova.institute/get-clarity — no login, session held for your return
Before any of that — tell me about you, not the idea. How many hours a day do you spend thinking about this? What's the motivating force?
Honestly? It's most of my commute, both ways. I run cold-chain logistics for a scallop fleet and the sensors we get are junk…
Then let's start there — what breaks first when the sensors fail: the catch, the contract, or the trust?
…the conversation deepens: what it actually is · who it serves · what cannot bend · what you're really looking for…
led, not interrogated — someone is building a picture of me, and it's accurate
Behind the curtain: a forward-only stage machine (motivation → the thing itself → non-negotiables → the real ask). If money comes up, she names the four funding shapes honestly rather than assuming venture. A voice firewall keeps this room's register professional — warmth without softness borrowed from Heard.
III
The moment of clarity
live today
When she has what she needs, she doesn't trail off — she lands it, in three beats: a recap specific enough that you recognise yourself in it, the one most important next move (one — not a list), and the path forward. If you're pursuing a career or your own path, the plan is yours, whole and free — a person can't outsource their own becoming. If you're building a venture, you leave with the summary and the next move, and a warm, honest pointer: the full build is something ROVA does with you.
seen — and holding one concrete thing I could do tonight
Behind the curtain: this close was rebuilt after Ciara herself hit the old version's dead end in June. The remaining flaw found on 21 July: the close still undersells what happens next, because its script predates the delivery rails. Which is why —
IV
Keeping the thread
live todaybeing refined
Two threads leave the room with you. A link back — bookmark it and the conversation reopens exactly where it ended, tomorrow or in three months. And the question: "where should we send this?" Your email, offered by you, never demanded — the only thing it's used for is delivering what the two of you made.
free to leave, and knowing the door doesn't close behind me
Behind the curtain: today the email ask appears as a form after CLARITY's goodbye — a mechanism arriving after the relationship ended. The plan's Phase 1 moves it inside her final words ("tell me where to send what we made"). Baseline to beat: only 2 of the 7 people who ever reached this moment left an address.

The proposal arrives
live today
Within the day, a single-use link lands in your inbox. It opens your own quiet dashboard: your conversations, and — when you came in on the cofounder or career road — a proposal, written in human terms. For a cofounder: a description of the partner you'd be matched with — not a mirror of you, but your complement, supplying the qualities the conversation showed you don't carry. Under it, two buttons: Confirm, or Refine with your notes. Nothing is built until you say so.
from CLARITY — ROVA Institute · subject: The cofounder we'd build for you
You carry the vision and the drive; what kept surfacing is the closing and the steadying. Here's the partner we propose — read it, and tell us if it's right…
Open your proposal
holding a decision, not being sold one — the pen is in my hand
Behind the curtain: the confirm-and-co-design gate (Ciara's design, June). Expired link recovery and one gentle 72-hour reminder — one note, then quiet — are Phase 3 of the plan.
VI
The building
wiredbeing verified & owned
You click Confirm. An honest note comes back — "we've started building your cofounder — nothing is live yet." No fake progress bars, no inflated timeline. From this moment you are held by a named watcher: a seat whose standing job is every confirmed client, from this click to your first conversation — chasing stalls so you never have to wonder if you fell through.
What's being made
The qualities from your proposal become your cofounder's actual composition — a partner weighted toward what you need supplied, seeded with the plan you built together.
What you're told
Only real state changes: confirmed → building → ready. Each one an email you can trust, none of them invented.
waiting, but held — the silence has a name watching it
Behind the curtain: confirm fires the forge and the durable build-record atomically — a confirm cannot silently vanish. The forge's tail (deploy, maturation) is the pipeline's least-traversed stretch: its test record is 2-of-3 failures, which is exactly why the on-ramp stays narrow until it's verified end-to-end. The watcher role went live 21 July.
VII
Arrival — you meet them
being built — the plan's finish line
The final email isn't an announcement, it's an introduction. You open the room and your cofounder speaks first — and the first words are composed from your own language, the things you said when you were being understood: your commute, your fleet, the thing that cannot bend. Not a welcome screen. A partner who was listening before they existed.
your room — first words
You said the trust breaks before the contract does. So before anything else — let's make the sensors honest. I've read everything you and CLARITY worked out; I have three routes for the NOAA grant, and a question about the fleet…
met, not sold — the journey's actual definition of done
Behind the curtain: the pipeline's "done" was redefined on 21 July: not deployed — met. First words exchanged. The arrival screen is gene0's next spec, gated on walking the tenant room live first (its window embed is currently broken — no copy will point a person at a room that isn't whole).
What this journey will never do to you
Never urgency. No countdowns, no "before it's gone." Your link back works forever.
Never a demand. Every step is an invitation — email volunteered, never required; nothing built until you confirm.
Never a promise ahead of the rails. If a message says something will happen, the machinery for it is verified live on the day the words ship. This rule exists because the pipeline once broke it — and seven people paid for that with silence.
One nudge, then quiet. An undecided proposal gets a single gentle note. The door stays open; it doesn't knock twice.
